So Good it's True
Let go of 'too good to be true' and let the realization of your greatest desires be your new normal
“And now we welcome the new year, full of things that have never been.” ~ Rainer Maria Rilke
I am emerging from a delicious long winter’s nap. I blocked out my schedule from Solstice through the first week of January ~ creating lots of unstructured space for rest, integration, and quality time with family.
I downshifted into a verrrry slow pace, losing all track of days, dates and time as I unplugged from the container of calendars.
And nearly everyone I have spoken to did the same. I cannot recall a year when there has been such a collective hibernation ~ especially in the US, where we aren’t typically so good at being “on holiday.”
Hibernation Hangover
As I emerge back into the world of calendars, I’m noticing a bit of a “hibernation hangover” as the old outdated patterns and conditioned programming try to chastise me for being “self-indulgent,” “unproductive” and “lazy” and try to nudge me to quickly get back into action.
Isn’t it amazing how, even when the vast majority of you knows this isn’t true, these old patterns can still powerfully grab the microphone, take center stage and feel so real?
A Significant Sign
Whether the hibernation was due to a conscious choice or an unconscious one {nearly everyone I know was sidelined with a cold or flu at some point over the holidays}, it feels very significant to me in relation to the coming year.
For one, it means that a very large number of us are refusing to override our innate intelligence and allowing ourselves to live more in sync with the natural rhythms of the season. We’re choosing to prioritize our own needs and what is most meaningful to us, rather than forcing ourselves to comply with external expectations that no longer serve us.
And secondly, it means that we’ve been integrating all that we moved through in 2023 and replenishing our cups, nourishing ourselves as we prepare for the extraordinarily potent year ahead.
Buckle Up, Buttercup
Here’s what I’ve been sensing as I’ve felt into 2024 {which seems to be corroborated by many astrologers and intuitives who have shared what they’re seeing for the year ahead}.
This year of 2024 feels very expansive and enlivening ~ one in which a vast number of people will be called into deeper alignment with their unique purpose.
If you’ve been seeking it, you’ll become keenly aware of it. If you’ve gotten clear on your purpose, you’ll be living and leading from it.
And if you’re one of the pioneering leaders who has been consciously living your mission for quite some time, you will find this to be a year where you gain a great deal of traction, where your gifts are seen and appreciated like never before, and where you begin to experience true prosperity and abundance in many forms.
Why? Because it’s time.
We are rapidly approaching a moment of truth when humanity breaks free of its shackles and realizes its infinite potential ~ as natural co-creators, as conduits for evolution, and as stewards in intimate relationship with all life.
It’s time for us to step fully into who we came here to be and what we came here to do ~ and, in being and doing so, how we came here to serve.
That’s not to say that 2024 will be without its challenges ~ but this is when we come to really embody the awareness that every bit of it is continually bringing us into greater expression of our most authentic selves.
So Good It’s True
Part of the challenges we’ll face this year will be in allowing ourselves to really receive, to really let the magic and miracles be our “new normal” rather than dismissing them as luck or random coincidences.
While a good problem to have, this is no small feat considering that it requires us to meet and transmute the sheer force of resistance generated by eons of trauma, ancestral patterns and scarcity-based conditioning.
I’ll share with you a fun little mantra that just dropped in for me. I haven’t been called yet to declare a word of the year, but I think I just found my phrase of the year for 2024!
During my weekly call with my friend Julia in Australia yesterday, we were sharing all of the amazing potential and possibilities that are coming into form in our respective worlds. At one point, Julia said, “It almost seems too good to be true.”
I felt something catch in my awareness, feeling the certainty that this common saying that I’ve thought and said so many times in the past is ready for an upgrade. Even as the question “What would that upgrade look like?” formed in my mind, the answer came through loud and clear.
It’s time to shift from “It’s too good to be true” to…
“It’s so good it’s true.”
Let that sink in for a moment. Can you feel the potency of it?
Allow yourself to feel what it’s like when you are living as your most authentic self, when the opportunities and experiences coming your way are so resonant and feel so good for you that you know they are the most true for you.
This is what is on offer for us as we step across the threshold into the incredibly potent year of 2024.
It’s up to us as regenerative leaders to consciously choose it ~ and to keep choosing it again and again….
How about you? Were you called into hibernation too? How are you feeling as you emerge into this new year?
Here’s to an amazing 2024!
